Creative Charms Farewell Blog Hop!

Creative Charms has a wonderful and talented new DT, so we're having a blog hop to say goodbye to the old team! I will miss this wonderful company - I really enjoyed working with their products and designing for them! To say goodbye, I'm sharing one last LO I made for them - of course I had to scrap something new :) This is a recent pic of DS from this month, using the lovely Little Boy line by Echo Park. I wanted to show just how versatile Creative Charms can be, and perfect for a boy LO.

Supplies:
- Playtime Boy Embellishments and Brads
- Knitter's Garden - ORANGE flowers & butterfly

Ok, if you made it this far...here is the secret word - "was". Remember, you can enter the giveaway until May 1st at midnight, and the grand prize winner will be announced on Monday the 2nd. If you didn't start at the beginning, make sure you go to the Creative Charms blog and start hopping from there - you need to collect all the secret words so you can make the phrase you need to enter the drawing :)

Your next (and final stop) is our amazing DT leader, Midori.

Craftgossip.com

Forgot to mention something fun - my LO was featured on craftgossip.com! Check it out HERE :) Francine Clouden saw my LO on 2Peas and asked if she could feature it!

Two New Scrapmatts Layouts :)

Hi everyone, I wanted to share two new layouts today I created for Scrapmatts. So all the laser-cut chipboard here is theirs, of course. Most of it I altered with embossing powders. To get a somewhat aged effect, coat the chipboard with the powder and brush off some of it with your fingers before embossing - then the effect will be more uneven and look more weathered, especially if a little of the raw chipboard shows through.

I did another vintage LO...this is me with my grandparents. When I looked at this pic, I had to run downstairs to show DH - I think DS looks exactly like I did at his age! It's uncanny....but then again, maybe I'm just biased :) I used the new Rococo line by Harmonie.

The second one is "Pink Spring" and I used My Little Shoebox pp.

Today I'm sharing a Creative Charms and Harmonie page. This is DD and DH at the park a few years ago. I just love how Creative Charms and Harmonie worked so well together to make some bright and spring colors.

More {REALLY} great news!!

I think it's no secret that I love to make mini's...I do make a ton of them! When I first started out scrapbooking, I only made mini's, in fact. I sold a bunch on ebay (this is about 6 years ago), and I kept a few. It took me a long time before I moved on to larger LO's.

So believe me when I say I am super, extra, over-the-top excited to be invited to join the Punky Sprouts DT!! Punky Sprouts make the most adorable, amazing mixed-media mini's, totally up my alley. I also love that the mini's are made of Eco-friendly materials and recycled materials. So thoughtful. Here is their blog, if you want to take a look...they got a new blog recently.

I did make one Punky Sprouts album before - it was the Linvilla Orchards mini album. Here is the cover:

So, I am super thrilled and can't wait to start altering some awesome mini's! I just love the idea of all sorts of different materials and pages - gives it so much texture. And they do a lot of product exchanges, so it will be fun to work with different awesome scrap companies.

Anyways, thanks for letting me share! I just feel like this company is absolutely perfect for me...and I hope I'm perfect for them! LOL

A toot for me :)

Do you guys remember this little card?

I'm happy to say it won the BoBunny card sketch challenge!! I'm so excited...I love BoBunny (of course, LOL!). I get a prize package and I really can't wait to see what will be in it! They posted this today on their blog.

My Little Shoebox and a DT Call!

Today is my day to be introduced on the My Little Shoebox Blog! They shared a little about me, as well as the projects I submitted for their DT call so of course I want to share them on my blog here too :)

First up, I made "Mulan" about DD's Halloween outfit this past October.

Next, I made another LO about DD, this one from past summer. Again, the MLS pp was just perfect for this pic. DD had gotten one of those grow your own butterflies net cages and we actually managed to grow a few of them and then release them :) This is her on the day we let them out.

I also made a card, just because that was a requirement for the call....cards are not my strong suit LOL I used a Scrapmatts chipboard kite and covered it with pp.

And finally, for the altered project, I made a mini album..just because well, I love mini's! I got this idea from Hilde Janbroers (she is amazing and so talented, you have to check her blog out!!). She makes these mini's every year for her girls, asking them 10 questions. I made one last year and it was time to do another, so it's "10 Questions For Morgan":

I will have all the inside pages posted in my 2Peas gallery...sorry, Blogger is being annoying with photo uploads lately...

Also, Creative Charms is having a DT call!!

Back Porch Memories April Kit Projects!

The April Kits are now available for purchase at Back Porch Memories, so I wanted to share the rest of the projects I made. First one is of DD playing in our front yard last summer:

I also made a LO based on the sketch provided for the month - I loved this sketch! This one is of DS not too long ago. It had rained so he got mud on his shoes and he just couldn't get over it - he kept pointing at them, and saying "dirty shoes", and even willingly went back inside so I could wash them off for him LOL I love how this pp is so versatile and perfect for girl LO's and also for boy LO's.

I really loved those little Maya Road canvas banners in the kit. So cute :)

And finally, a little card:
