Mom's BD card

Here is the card I made for my mom's BD I promised to share....be gentle, I'm not much of a card maker. I'm happy with the way this one turned out, though, and I hope she likes it.

Snobby Sneak!

Yep, I've got a sneak peek for you of the Snobby Walrus June kit! This one was a lot of fun and perfect for father's day...and I'll be revealing my projects as well as the whole kit on June 1st, so check in then.

DD has been sick and Tuesday and yesterday I was away doing work and work related stuff the entire days. So busy busy. I have a few more LO's to share that I'll have to get to soon and a card I made for my mom's BD - I just took the pics today, so maybe I'll post tonight. I'm kind of excited because I like how it turned out even though I'm not much of a card maker. You'll have to let me know what you guys think :)

10 Questions

Wow...long time no blog! Where have I been? Really busy scrapping! I made a ton of stuff, but I can only share some for now, and more after the end of the month. I also got my DT box from 3Birds....wow, just wow. The box was so heavy I could barely lift it, I kid you not. I got a TON of gorgeous stuff - everything from textured cardstock, to sticker, pp, titles, embellies, flowers, bling, rub ons, stamps, ink, die cuts, border - you name it, I got it! Sooo excited to be a part of 3Birds!

Well, for now I wanted to share one project - a mini album I made using a BG mini and Nikki Sivils - Flaming Butterfly pp. This stuff is so adorable, I can't even put it into words - you just have to see it. I LOVED all those butterflies you can cut out. I asked DD 10 questions and wrote down her answers to capture what she's like at this moment in time. I got this idea from Hilde - she makes these every year for her 2 girls.

Webster's Pages galore!

I already got the Lullaby Lane pp from WP that I recently won! It came today and it's even more beautiful in person - DD was ooh and aahing over it along with me :) Can't wait to have some free time to make something!

I also had ordered some Life's Portrait pp from Snobby Walrus, and I made a LO of a picture from my parent's wedding with it. It's called "4ever". TFL!

OMG, I just got an AWESOME Mother's Day gift!!

And no, it's not from DH. Although his is good too - he's giving me 2.5 hours on a Sunday of my choice to scrapbook. LOL. It's the most useful gift I could possibly have hoped for!

No, this gift comes from Webster's Pages! I just found out that I won a collection of paper of my choice! I entered their April challenge - home decor (I made that tissue box), and I won!! I will be requesting the Lullaby Lane collection...it's so adorable, I can't wait to get my hands on it! I have managed to get some of the other collections' pp from Snobby Walrus and Scraptacular (links on right), or I will be getting them in the future. But no one seems to have Lullaby Lane, so that's the one I'll be asking for!

Swing!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!! Hope it's a good one for all of you. We're off to visit our parents. We'll leave the kids at my parents' while we go to a movie and out to eat. The rest of the day, I'll be taking advantage of the free time to get some work done that I have to do from home. Not so much fun, but hopefully productive! Well, enjoy your day!!

I'm back! And super cool news!!

I'm back! I got home from the airport around 9 pm last night. The vaca was wonderful, but today DS has been sick with some sort of stomach thing and has slept on me pretty much all day (except when he was throwing up on me and the couches...and when I had to wash the dog after the kennel...and when I had to shower DD who managed to pee on herself while walking home from the bus stop....other than that, it's been DS on me all day :)

So, I have the most wonderful news to share. I have no idea how this happened, but I made the 3Birds DT! In case you don't know who they are yet, they make the cutest scrapbooking pp and embellies, rub ons, etc. and they sell a lot on HSN. That means my work will be on the HSN website, and possibly on TV sometimes. How cool is that?! I am soooo excited and I will be getting started with their brand new lines in just a few weeks!!!

I found all this out when I went through my 400 hundred emails that had accumulated over the week. It was a wonderful piece of news to come back to :)

Snobby Walrus May Kit Projects!!

By the way, I am STILL on vaca and this is another one of my scheduled posts - I just couldn't leave my blog alone, could I :) I'll be back tomorrow though...and update again! LOL So, here are the LO's I made with the May kit (BTW, I LOVE the kit and all the stuff in - some of my fav brands - 7Gypsies, Sassafras, Prima, and so much more!)

First up is "Ah Sweet The Hours" - the title comes from a line on the vintage postcards that was included with my card. These are my maternal grandparents. Love the vintage postcard!!

"Off To A Magical Kingrdom" - this is DD in Disney World, on her way to the castle.

"You Make My Heart Sing" - this one is about DS, and I thought the 7Gypsies music pp was perfect for this LO:

"Once Upon A Time" (Not TOO long ago...LOL) - that was me! Don't you adore that Cosmo Cricket pp???

"The Keys To Parenting Wisdom" - this is a little cover I made with my kit. When I threw my friend a shower at my house, I gave everyone some Bazzil cardstock I'd cut (my friend's fav color is purple), and asked them all to write down some parenting wisdom/advice. I used my 7Gypsies hole drill (Binderie) to make holes and with the kit, I used the Mark's Paper pp, which I sprayed with some purple mist to make it the right color and decorated with the lace that was in the kit, the 7Gypsies key that was in the kit, and the image from my second vintage postcard that I cut out. I though the kit was absolutely perfect for this projects! The little letters were in the kit too - more Cosmo Cricket!

These kits are so PACKED, I had plenty of pp to make another LO! This one is called "Mother" and I made it for my mom to give to her friend for her 50th Birthday. HER favorite color is green :)

Well, thanks for looking and I'll be back tomorrow! Can't wait to see what you all make with the kit as well!
