Cupcake WOW!

Another quick birthday card to share, again using a Scrapmatts cupcake (this one is from the bigger set), and the Scrapmatts nested frame. Also used Scrapmatts flowers and leaves, and all the chipboard was heat embossed using some awesome WOW Embossing powders from the Suzy West collection (aren't her colors lovely?). The paper is an oldie but goodie - 6x6 paper pad of Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry". I don't know why, but I love it more and more the longer I have it LOL

Oh Happy Day! And a contest!!

A quick and bright little card using "Playtime" line from My Little Shoebox. I used one of the die-cut sheets for the card base, and one of the journaling spots to frame the stamped image. I love how these journaling spots make the perfect mats for stamps. I again used my favorite little Gorjuss girl stamp and colored her with Copics.

You can join in the challenge for a chance to win some MLS goodies! For a chance to win a mix of My Little Shoebox goodies simply create a project of your choice using one or several of our journaling tags and post your creation to our Facebook wall by Sunday April 1st at midnight pacific time.

They'll randomly select one winner, announce them on the MLS blog on April 2nd and post a photo of their project. If you'd like us to include a link to your personal blog if you are chosen as our winner, then please include the address in the comments when posting your photo to our Facebook wall.
If you don't have a Facebook account then feel free to email your project to us at dt@mylittleshoebox.com.

Orange Belt

I made a mini using the Punky Sprouts mixed media "Teenie Beanie Sprout" album - I used the bracket-shaped chipboard pages and the canvas pages for the front and back covers. I didn't have too many photos of this even, so I just wanted a small mini. My daughter got her orange belt! We had a product exchange with Robin's Next, so we got paper from them, as well as rub-ons and dew drops. The paper was black and white and our DT all picked one color to add - so of course, I picked orange. Black and white pared with orange was absolutely perfect to document this event. For the cover, and throughout the mini album, I used the girl and the sentiments from the "Karate Girl" stamp set from MFT. I colored the girl on the cover with Copics. I love these little "Pure Innocence" stamps.

If you want to hear a little more about the mini, I made a YouTube video for my channel:

A Scrapmatts Birthday

Scrapmatts makes the cutest laser-cut chipboard embellishments, and this month they came out with adorable cupcakes - there are two different sets, of different sizes. Here, I used the smaller set, and I also used one of their nesting frames. I made a birthday card for my father, since his birthday is in a couple weeks. Even though it's a cupcake card, I think it came out pretty manly :) I love this paper by MME.

My Man

Starting the week off with a fun layout about DH. I just love this Bo Bunny paper, and this layout was so fun to put together. I made the flowers using my new Sizzix die, and all the gorgeous laser-cut chipboard is by Scrapmatts - I used leaf sprays, frames, and the words "My" and "Man".

U R A Star

I love the little die-cuts and other extras that come with all the Imaginisce collections, and the new Makin' Waves collection had this adorable little starfish I just had to use. This tag and card set were made to show off the new I-Magicut - it's a ribbon cutter and sealer, all in one step (works like a charm, by the way). If you look at the edges of the tag, you can see how cleanly everything is sealed off. I also love how it seals off various trims, like the trim I used for the water and on the card.

Forest Friend

I made this layout using the Paper Lovelies April kit, in which you get "Chicken Dumpling" collection from Jillibean Soup. I also added a couple little snippets from my stash from the October Afternoon "Campfire" collection - it had some forest elements that were perfect for this LO.

Paper Lovelies April Kit!!

April is all about Spring and Easter and fresh green grass, so the lovely April Kit for Paper Lovelies is all about Jillibean Soup's brand new release "Chicken Dumpling" - it's very bright, fun, and Easter and Spring themed. I really loved the fun bright woodgrain backsides of this collection :)

So to start off, I have a card. I used a Gorjuss stamp "Bluebird's Proposal", and I paper pieced her outfit from the paper. The stamp I used to make the grass is part of the Jillibean Soup stamp set that comes with this kit. The Doily behind the girl is also part of this kit. I colored her with Copics. The sentiment I cut out from one of the sheets of paper as well.

Our Happy Day

Another Keepsake LO today, using a cute felt fence from Kat Scrappiness.

Also, a card using "keepsake" collection and a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, colored with Copics. I love how all the MLS collections have a sheet of journaling cards that make perfect mats for colored stamps!

"Keepsake" Cutie

Today, I have another LO using the Keepsake collection by MLS. This is my daughter and I from a long time ago :)

My Little Shoebox "Keepsake" collection!

Over the next few days, I'm going to share some projects using the gorgeous brand new release from MLS< "Keepsake". I LOVE this collection and I was so excited to get it! The colors are so fresh and bright and the flowers are very pretty. I'm going to start with a more "retro" looking LO. This photo of my kids and I sitting at the counter reminded me of a painting of people sitting a bar I saw once, so I kind of went with that mood. I also used some really old chipboard and added some liquid pearls to spruce it up a bit.

Some Odd Girl projects!

Yay, time to share some more Copic coloring fun! I love the Nouveau girls from Some Odd Girl stamps, and I used "Fan" stamp set for my projects this month. I know Copic-colored images are very popular for cards, and people sometimes use them for altered projects, and mini albums, and other such stuff. Well, this month, I thought it would be fun to use them on layouts! These little images can add so much to your pages, and the "Fan" stamp set was versatile enough to use on two very different layouts and enhance each in its own way. Take a look at how different the images look on each layout, just by using different colors to set the mood!

Here is "Fan" used on a LO of my daughter as a Flamenco Dancer this past Halloween. I used Bo Bunny "Timepiece" and "Et Cetera" collections.

And here is "Fan" again, on a layout about Morgan again, from a few years ago. Here, I used the brand new release from My Little Shoebox "Up In The Trees".

Imaginisce Makin' Waves Release!

This week is the release of the brand new Makin' Waves collection by Imaginisce! It's very bright, happy, and summery - perfect for all those beach pics!

First up, is a LO about my brother - don't tell him I scrapped a naked pic of him! LOL

Next up, is a LO about my daughter. This collection is very versatile - depending on which colors you pull, it can be more "serene beach" like the one above, or more bright and hot, like this one. I made the brads myself with the awesome I-Top!!

And finally, a really quick and easy headband - this is using the new stuff that goes with the I-Top - you can make hair accessories and jewelry. I used Makin' Waves paper and Imaginsice flowers. DD helped pick out what she liked :) It took about a couple minutes to make!

Cards with Core

Imaginisce did a product swap with Core'Dinations, so we got lots of awesome cardstock to work with, as well as the sander tool. I love this cardstock, especially paired with my embossing folders, and I made a couple cards.

Hummingbird Grettings

A WOW Embossing Powder project 2nd day in a row :) Today, I have a card using the Suzy West Collection Cotton Candy Regular embossing powder paired with a stencil to make the hummingbird. The greeting is using the WOW "Gratitude" stamp set. The papers are Kaisercraft "Miss Nelly" line.

Becky Fleck sketches!

The Imaginisce DT did the samples for the PageMaps March Sketches, and I got to participate with a LO for an 8.5x11 horizontal sketch. It was a challenge, to be honset - it's the first time I've ever scrapped that size. I'm sticking to 12x12! LOL

But the sketch was great, so you should check it, as well as other sketches and DT samples HERE.

After my assignment was finished, I decided to convert the LO to a 12x12 one, so I could store it with my other LO's. I stuck it on a Core'Dinations black cardstock (with red core).
