The Nutcracker Ballet Mini Album

As I mentioned, DH, DD, and I all went to the Nutcracker Ballet this past Sunday, while DS stayed home with my parents. We went to the Philadelphia Academy of Music - they're one of the few ballets licensed to do the original Nutcracker version. Of course I had to make a mini. The pics we got weren't so great, so they were much better for a smaller canvas anyway - and I was able to incorporate all the pics from the Playbill, which was nice. It's a great way to preserve mementos you'd otherwise throw out.

WP Sweet Season line was absolutely perfect for this. The colors and images were just like the ballet set, once she goes to the magical world with the Prince. I used a BG chipboard mini, but ended up adding a few pages. One of the pages is clear with white doilies, which is actually Prima packaging.

Holiday projects :)

I made a LO with Echo Park's Wintertime line. When I got my kit of the Wintertime line, I immediately thought of this photo - it also has a lot of blues and reds, and a cute snowman. I love this photo even though it didn't turn out exactly the way it was meant to - DD was too scared of mall Santa! The only way to get a picture of her was to have me in it. I wanted to document this memory. We all have those mall Santa photos, and they're way too precious to just stow away somewhere. Seeing Santa at the mall kind of kicks off the Christmas season for me. I just loved the very bright and bold colors of this line, and the slight distressing was so perfect, I barely had to do any of my own! Made it that much easier and faster :) I also loved the journaling spots and the stickers that came with the set. Those little trees you see at the bottom are actually one of the stickers. The flowers and chipboard stickers are by Creative Charms.

I also posted on the Scrapstreet blog today with this:

I made a holiday card with the gorgeous GCD papers we received.

I used my tab-maker punch to make the tab and the "noel" sticker and "JOY" chipboard letters are all by Creative Charms. I cut out the ornaments from one of the papers and "hung" them on red floss.

Santa's gift and more LO's to share!

First of all, I have a pic of one of the gifts Santa got me. He thought I needed more pretty flowers ;) Santa know just what a girl wants!

DH, DD and I went to the Nutcracker ballet yesterday in Philly. I think the WP Sweet Season line would be so perfect to make a little mini of it. I'm out of ink again, so I have to wait for some more before I can print pics, but I actually have plenty piled up to keep my busy for now :)

And of course, what's a blog post without some LO's? I have four to share today, and they're all WP. First off, "Beach Girl" - I am still working my way through our Dominican pics from this past April, and this one is of DD. I used a combo of Sweet Season and Seaside Retreat. Sweet Season is a winter line, but I thought it went well with the pic :)

Next up, is "Really Wonderful". I got the title from the dialogue between Glinda and the Scarecrow, and it uses Hollywood Vogue. The black and white knitted flowers are Creative Charms.

I have one about DH, "My Sweet" :) I think I was in a romantic mood. This one is using Wonderfall line...and can you spot one of the flowers Santa gave me??

And last, I have one about DS - another one from that one day we had fun in the back yard. Here I used the Wonderfall line again. And one more of Santa's flowers ;)

Well, that's it! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Another WP LO :)

I have another one for the wedding album, this time using Sweet Season. It's called "Sweet Moments" and it's a pic of us cutting the cake. Our cake was lavender, so the colors here are perfect. I used my new MS deep edge heart punch to make the border, and I even made it work on the corners. The "white" background paper is core'dinations, so it's got a lavender tinge and I sanded the edges, and the background lavender cardstock is glitterted, by 3 Birds - it's so pretty! The white laser cut chipboard dress form is by Scrapmatts, of course ;)
