...or obsession...whichever way you look at it :) Speaking of that, I have 5 layouts I wanted to share with you all featuring my love G45!!
First up is one that is pretty special to me. It's a picture of Morgan about just a couple days after she was born. She was so alert right away, with her eyes open. I remember in the hospital, one of the nurses couldn't believe she was only born the day before. So I have this sweet picture of her that I haven't scrapped until now....and finally the perfect papers came along. How can you not be in love with Once Upon A Springtime? I hand-stitched the border around the page and used vellum to add softness.
Next up is a LO about my grandfather using A Proper Gentleman...what could be more perfect for a masculine heritage LO? This one is special to me too...he died when I was 12 and I still really miss him. We were so close and he was the one adult in my life I could always turn to. I made this LO for Scrapstreet using Unity Stamps, when Unity sponsored our DT. I'm not much of a stamp person, but these stamps I was happy to get!!
Next is a LO using a mix of Romantique and Once Upon A Springtime - I actually found that these go together pretty well! I made the border by using scraps of silk fabric underneath the pp border. Wasn't Morgan adorable? She'd just recently turned 1 in that pic.
Next up is another Steampunk Debutante LO, this one about my grandmother. The laser cut chipboard dress form and gears frame are by Scrapmatts. I embossed them with black powder and did several layers on the dress form to give it more dimension. I soooo love this line!!
And last is a LO about me as a little girl, using Once Upon A Springtime and appropriately called Once Upon A Springtime :) I did love the forest when I was little...my grandfather used to take me with him for hours in the summers. The little square with the doll on it is pp from Playtimes Past. I hold onto all my tiny G45 scraps, I can't throw out even the smallest pieces! And now I'm down to very little with Once Upon A Springtime and it seems like yesterday that I was pre-ordering the entire line! Well, I had fun with it :)
In case you're wondering after all this, yes, I will be applying for the G45 DT (how could I not!) and I'll be posting my entire application submissions here very soon.
