Cards for Charity!

Hi guys, Imaginsice is supporting a really wonderful charity this year - Share A Card. They accept handmade cards which they then mail out to people who are sick, confined to their homes, dying, etc.
Every year they hold a Holiday Card Project - they receive thousands of seasonal cards which they send out to many, many people and this just brightens their day.

Here's a brief note from Kath, the organizer of Share-a-card.
"The only cards we ask not be sent are “Get Well”. Our “Features” are all at different stages of their illnesses and sadly, some won’t get well Sad smile We accept cheerful cards of any other sort...We feature birthdays each month and holidays (we have a HUGE holiday card project each year) thinking of you, praying for you,etc... No card is ever turned away. Cards can be blank OR signed with their first name and state of origin (our features love to see how far they come). ..they can be in envelopes or NOT..we accept them any way they come. They all get packaged into a larger box or envelope so sending them in an envy isn’t necessary.

Our Holiday Card Project begins in late September/October and we collect Christmas/Holiday cards until the 1st of Dec at which time we begin sorting and boxing them up. Last year, we collected and distributed almost 9000 cards from Girl Scout groups/church groups/Card making Groups/Our Members/Scrappers/Schools etc... It is such a terrific project. While we’re preparing our cookies and packages and shopping for a joyous occasion, these people are so ill from the illnesses or undergoing treatments and we forget that the holidays can be depressing for the shut in. This project helps cheer them. I look forward to this event every year!"

The mailing address is: (PLEASE don't delay in mailing it out as they have a lot of cards to sort through. The deadline to receive the cards is Dec 1st).

I made a couple Christmas cards using the new Imaginisce "Christmas Cheer" collection - I plan to send these along, as well as a few more that I've been stockpiling :)
