Mixing Collections

I posted on the Harmonie blog today:

I love to mix and match when I'm scrapping. It's nice to have whole collections where everything matches, but it's also fun to spice things up a bit and throw in some unexpected elements. The first LO I want to share is of my daughter this Halloween. Blizzard is not the first collection that comes to mind when I think of scrapping Halloween, but that's what I did. Hey, just because it wasn't meant for Halloween, doesn't mean I can't do what I want with it, right? :) My DD was "Mulan", and she had a pretty bow in her hair that I was able to get a pretty photo of. I added that bow to the LO as a flower - but it's also such a nice way to now save it forever.

Do you see the pretty butterfly and dragonfly? DOn't they look so real? I got them from IAmRoses.com - they have really pretty stuff. The circle is Harmonie chipboard that I painted with Glimmer Glam and crackle paint. And the "tree" at the bottom I cut out from the Blizzard die cut, and then used large flowers as the foliage.

Supplies:
Paper: Blizzard Collection (PA 070 and PA 072)
Die-cut chipboard circle
Knitted flowers/Ornaments from Bella Bohemia
Brads from Bella Bohemia (BR 020)
Brads from Blizzard (BR 021)
