My daughter's birthday is coming up, and since I have lots of scrappy supplies, I figured it would make sense to make them by hand. Also it's a nice motherly thing to do, since I won't be baking a cake (I wouldn't do that to her LOL). To make these, I used 8.5x11 blue and yellow cardstock as a base and ran them through my printer - each one was then cut in half lengthwise to make two cards per sheet. That way, I ended up with 4.25x5.5 cards which fit perfectly in standard card-size envelopes. Then, I simply decorated the front using pretty paper and a Spellbinders die for the label. It's going to be a pool party, so the Imaginisce "Makin' Waves" collection was perfect - especially since the front had some glossy detailing, making it have a more fancy feel. I had to make a few more since she forgot some people. Since I was making so many of them, I kept them as simple as possible. I did pop the label up on Imaginisce dimensional foam tape.
