A little card, and goodbye June!

Last day of June, can you believe it? Where does the time go? And why does it always feel this way...I should stop being surprised when the months fly by :)

Today, I have a quick little card to share - used MME pp, Tim Holtz alarm clock die, and lots and lots of different WOW Embossing Powders.

Little Printer's Tray

And finally, my last project for the craft show in Australia, again featuring tons and tons of Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard (including the little printer's tray itself), all treated with various gorgeous colors of WOW Embossing Powders. I used some old "Nook And Pantry" Basic Grey pp here. Since Sophie was keeping this one as well, I wanted to make a little gift for her to display in her kitchen...I hope she liked it :)

All about me!

For the craft show in Australia, I also made a mixed-media canvas using Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard. The whole DT made a simlar canvas, each about themselves, and Sophie gets to keep them. This is me (obviously...LOL). I LOVE the new Scrapmatts birdbaths! I used lots of WOW Embossing Powders here as well, for the birds, flowers, etc.

Destination USA

Today, I'm sharing the LO I made using Scrapmatts laser cut chipboard for the show in Australia. I used a combo of October Afternoon and Simple Stories pp. I made this LO for Sophie to plug in a pic of her in USA (she visited in April and I got to meet her :)

Here's the LO:

Here's the LO with a pic in it (it looks so much better with a pic, although this is just an example, since Sophie will be putting her own pic in):

And a close-up of the gorgeous new dimensional/layered fence:

Thank You Scrapmatts!

I've been with Scrapmatts for a while now (over a year), and I really love being a part of this team! I get the most gorgeous laser cut chipboard embellies sent to me by Sophie and Andrew. In June, they had a big show in Australia and I made 4 projects for the show, and I knew one of those projects would have to be a Thank you card for Sophie and Andrew. I used some really old Daisy D's pp, a Gorjuss stamp, and of course, Scrapmatts laser cut chipboard treated with WOW Embossing powder (the bird, the leaves, the gold sign, the frame around the stamped image). Hope you guys like it!

Back from the Beach!

We went to the beach at Ocean City, Maryland for a couple days (Friday and Saturday) and we had a great time. Although I was exhausted Sunday, for some reason, and I'm still tired. But I got some great pics, and I thought I'd share a couple of my faves :)

His expressions...

DS makes the cutest expressions. He loves to make everyone laugh and be silly - 3 is such a sweet age. I wanted to scrap a picture of just one of the millions of faces he makes all the time. I used the new Amy Tangerine "Sketchbook" line by American Crafts. I had gotten this as part of my Paper Lovelies kit for July, but sadly, Carrie has decided to discontinue the kit club, as it was taking too much time away from her family. I will miss Paper Lovelies and Carrie herself, but I had a great 12 months with it :)

Free Your Imagination

I'm having so much fun with all the new Bo Bunny pp I got recently at Your Scrapbook Stash. This is using the Little Miss collection - that pp is so gorgeous and it matched Morgan's green dress and pose perfectly. I couldn't wait to rip the package open and get to scrappin' with it. I also used the super adorable "Jack Vine" from Flourish With A Bling. Here's the result:

Morgan made a card for my father for Father's Day as well - she used some 7 Gypsies 6x6 pp that Carrie had sent her, as well as the flower she got from her. I think it came out super cute!

A bright and cheerful Monday here in Blogland :)

Maybe not so much at work, but here in scrappy land, things are always good. Wanted to share a super bright, happy, and cheerful LO I recently made with my new Bo Bunny paper...I just love all their new releases, but then again I always love everything they put out. The gorgeous laser-cut chipboard frame is by Scrapmatts, and I heat embossed it with WOW Embossing powder. The denim banners are from Punky Sprouts, and the adorable zipper trim is from Maya Road.

Rockin' the I-Rock!

The Imaginisce DT were challenged this month to use any one Imaginisce tool to create two projects. I decided to play around with my I-Rock again, but putting a slightly different spin on it. I-Rock doesn't just have to be for bling and girly projects -t he metal studs that go with it can be very masculine, so I wanted to make two masculine projects. In fact, I love the metal studs even more because they heat-set faster than the crystals - a couple seconds (once the tool is thoroughly heated) - usually does it. I used the new "Hello Cupcake" collection for both projects. I also used my dies a lot on both projects. I totally adore my Big Shot :)

First up is a card. Father's day is coming up, and I wanted to make a card for my husband from all 3 of us:

Next up, an altered gift bag that would be perfect for a boy's birthday or a man's birthday:

Tropical Pool Party!

Yesterday, I showed you guys the invites I made for Morgan's pool party. We decided it would have a tropical theme, so I made a little sign to hand there. I used a chipboard page from a Punky Sprouts mini album. I'm thinking after the party, this might the the cover of a mini album all about her birthday party :) For now though, it's just party decor. And the new digital stamp release from Some Odd Girl was absolutely perfect for this. And since it's a digital stamp, I was able to make the image a little bit larger. This stamp is called "Tropical Mae". Isn't she sweet and gorgeous?? The laser-cut chipboard boat wheel (not sure what the technical name for it is?) is made my Scrapmatts. Make sure you check out all the new digital stamp releases throughout this week on the Some Odd Girl Blog!

Birthday Invites

My daughter's birthday is coming up, and since I have lots of scrappy supplies, I figured it would make sense to make them by hand. Also it's a nice motherly thing to do, since I won't be baking a cake (I wouldn't do that to her LOL). To make these, I used 8.5x11 blue and yellow cardstock as a base and ran them through my printer - each one was then cut in half lengthwise to make two cards per sheet. That way, I ended up with 4.25x5.5 cards which fit perfectly in standard card-size envelopes. Then, I simply decorated the front using pretty paper and a Spellbinders die for the label. It's going to be a pool party, so the Imaginisce "Makin' Waves" collection was perfect - especially since the front had some glossy detailing, making it have a more fancy feel. I had to make a few more since she forgot some people. Since I was making so many of them, I kept them as simple as possible. I did pop the label up on Imaginisce dimensional foam tape. So here they are (I took out identifying info from the inside):
