Possibilities Abound

I used some of my favorite paper - Bo Bunny "Et Cetera" collection to do a LO about my daughter. I just love the look of the entire collection and I helped it out by adding to the "mess" :) The gorgeous laser-cut clock and butterflies are all by Scrapmatts. And I finally got to dig into my new Flourish With a Bling Goodies - I used the gorgeous Grace Flourish (copper color). This LO was a lot of fun to put together.

I made jewelry...?!

Yes, I am still in disbelief - I had good reason, since the Imaginisce DT is making jewelry all this week, using the Imaginisce Magni-Top jewelry supplies. A word of caution - I have never made jewelry before. I have never even made charms. So this was definitely a challenge for me, but luckily, the Magni-Top settings simplified things a great deal. I needed all the help I could get :) I decided to use Magni-Top earrings - I combined Irish linen with metal and crystal beads for a vintage, shabby, but still elegant look. I extended the original earrings by adding the crystal beads, and I used the small Magni-Top daddies and covered them in linen. Take my word for it - this was actually very easy to do. There is no learning curve here, since I came into it with no knowledge of jewelry making whatsoever. Let's just say that I'm pleased...and somewhat surprised, that the result is actually wearable! LOL

Thinking of You

I just love this stamp from Some Odd Girl (colored here with Copics), and this gorgeous laser-cut chipboard frame from Scrapmatts. Their frames are ideal for stamped images. I used my new 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye - On The Bright Side (One).

{Future} Space Explorer

A page about my sweet boy - my space-explorer-to-be. I got the idea for this LO from his shirt (loved that t-shirt!) and the October Afternoon paper was absolutely perfect for it. The gorgeous laser-cut chipboard clock and laser-cut chipboard gears are all from Scrapmatts. For the gears, I used WOW Embossing glitter "Platinum Sparkle" - it's just like glitter, except you heat set it, so it doesn't come off. Gotta love that :) I also used Maya Road white zipper trim for the border around the large clock, and 7 Gypsies tissue tape to put the title on.

Paper Lovelies June kit!

Today is the reveal of the gorgeous June kit for Paper Lovlies. This month, it's all about Glitz "Pretty In Pink" collection. As I;ve been doing recently, I again did a girl page and a boy page. These kits are really versatile and work well for either :)

First up, one about my daughter. The toile pp was my favorite. The gorgeous street lamp die cut was made and embellished by Kathy - she had sent it to me in a RAK. My Fair Lady:

Next up, my son and I - we're in the hot tub at Great Wolf Lodge. I got this great transparent card in my kit and cut it up to get the title. And I love my new die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix the vintage alarm clock. Every Day Is An Adventure:

And here's a quick video where I go over the pages "in person":

New stamps!

Some Odd Girl has new clear stamp sets released this month, all geared for summer! You can see them all this week on the SOG Blog. My favorite was the mermaid stamp set, it was beyond cute :) I made a little card with it (all colored with Copics, as usual). I added stickles to the mermaid's and seahorse's fins, and glossy accents to her tail - it really gives a cool look and texture in person.

Teacher Appreciation Week....

....all this week on the Imaginisce blog! Come check out some fabulous ideas form the DT on how to spoil your kids' teachers, the do-it-yourself style :) I joined in and made a project as well. I reused an old plastic jar - we'd bought almonds at Target and this is the jar they came in. My daughter told me that the kids get "Smarties" candy for being good and smart, but that her teacher was all out of them. So I altered the jar, using the new "Hello Cupcake" collection, and filled it to the brim with candy for the teacher to keep on her desk. The letters are from October Afternoon and trim from Maya Road.

Woodsy WOW

I hope "woodsy" is a word...if not, forgive me. But I was referring to the gorgeous Suzy West "Pantry Collection" embossing powder colors - I love the earth-tones - not something you see too often in embossing powders. For my layout, I used the new paper from My Mind's Eye to scrap a couple pics of my husband and kids in the forest, and the pantry collection colors were a perfect fit.

To do the flowers, I used my Sizzix die to cut them out of black textured cardstock, and then covered the layers with “Pantry” Collection "Honey" and "Olive" colors. The pretty brads are from Creative Charms. This is the result:

Finally, I used Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard circles - large and small. The biggest one, I covered with Suzy West “By the Bay” Collection - "Skyline Grey" Puff. So it has a whole lot of texture - almost spongy, like flocking. And the smaller circles, I covered with WOW "Black Glint" Embossing Glitter - so they have a lot of sparkle to them that's hard to capture in a photo. The word "Excursion" and the maple leaves are also laser-cut chipboard by Scrapmatts.

I just love the amazing effect embossing powders can add to a LO. Thanks for stopping by today!

Punky Sprouts + Pink Paislee

This week, Punky Sprouts teamed up with Pink Paislee, so I got a gorgeous box of Pnik Paislee goodies. Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled. Pink Paislee is absolutely one of those brands you can't go wrong with, and paired with a Punky mini, it really is a magical combination.

I got 2 lines to work with - She Art and Spring Jubilee, and for this mini, I used the Spring Jubilee collection. This paper is so me...I just love the bright, fun colors and the mix of modern and vintage. And I worked with the new Punky Spouts mini - "Soul Sprout". This is such a fun mini, full of all sorts of different shaped pages made of all sorts of mediums, and even a tag - if you look at the very last page spread, you can see that I made a little pocket for the tag, so I could include some journaling.

I also used some Punky Sprouts lacy doilies and the new Punky Sprouts buttons throughout. And I used some die-cut elements from the Pink Paislee "Butterfly Garden" collection, cute bird stick-pins from My Little Bit of Whimsy, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, and a ton of tape from Tim Holtz ant 7Gypsies. The lace and trim flowers used throughout were sent to me by may YouTube friend Scarlett. I hope you guys like this one, because I had a blast making it!!
