***For Scraptacular Blog Hop post, see the one below***
I am so excited to be Nikki Sivils' GDT for February - see the post HERE. Of course, I will share my projects here too, and you get my customary million close-ups as well ;) LOL Nikki was SO generous and I got to work with 3 lines that I got to pick!
First up, I will share what I made with Sugar Cookie - I picked this line since it's February and love is in the air :) I'll start with a Disney LO, Pink Love. I also used Scrapmatts shapes - it's the topiary heart and the dress form...I heat embossed them with embossing powder...gives it a nice antique-y texture, as well as the heart leaf sprays, which I covered with stickles.
I also used Sugar Cookie to do a vintage LO about my parents, also using Scrapmatts topiary heart again as well as a ton of Creative Charms - heart, flowers, brads, bling, cakes and lollipops, etc. The white chipboard swirls are also by Scrapmatts and again I heat embossed them.
I also picked the new line "We Are Family" to work with - I really loved the bright colors, like the deep red. First up is another Disney LO (Nikki's pp is perfect for fun LO's!), called Disney in 3D. I used another Scrapmatts topiary heart...I love these, can you tell?? LOL I also used a Scrapmatts kit, and I used a backing sheet that came with it to cut out the right sizes of pp to cover it, and then dressed it up with bows I cut out as well.
Using the new line I made another Heritage LO, "Love Grows Here"...it's my mom with her parents. The red and green flowers and brads, as well as the polka-dot ribbon are by Creative Charms.
And last but not least, I also got the new line "Summer"....soooo perfect for a summer birthday! I made a mini about Morgan's 6th birthday, which we had at the pool. I used an old Bazzill mini I had. I glued 2 cardstock pages together for each page and then strayed them with Sweet Pea Glimmer Mist. Very bright and fun, and I like the watercolor effect.
Ok, thanks for looking!!

Scraptacular Blog Hop!!
If you're here for the Scraptacular Blog Hop, then you've come to the right place! All the DT members have created a project based on a sketch by the talented Liz Chidester. If you play along and create something based on the sketch, you'll be entered to win the February Scraptacular Kit!!! Yay, awesome prize. Make sure you hop on over to all the blogs for inspiration.
Here is the sketch:
I decided to create a card based on the sketch, and of course it had to be a Valentine's Day card :) I used the brand new line by Harmonie, called "Rococco". I absolutely love the colors...a sweet pink, purple, black, and teal...gorgeous. I wanted to make an acrylic card, so I cut apart an 8"x8" sheet I had to make a 4" card. So yes, it's really small and cute :) The ribbon is also by Harmonie and the chipboard heart is by Scrapmatts. I covered it with pp and the word is a rub-on. To accent the edge of the front, I used black Enamel Accents and to emphasize the edges of the second page, I used black Staz On ink.
And here is the inside of the card:
And here is the back of the card. I love how you get the most out of pretty double-sided pp when you use acrylic:
So thanks for looking! Now hop on over to the very talented Liese.
In case you're lost, the blog hop ends and begins at the Scraptacular Blog, which will also have the whole blog hop order.

Pen in Hand - G45 4" Mini
I finally finished my G45 Communique line mini....hmmm....you don't know what I'm talking about, do you? LOL...it's been a really long time. This is back from last March or so, when I did a GDT spot for a store that's now out of business. I was able to pick out what I wanted to work with from the store, and I had picked a few sheets of this pp, meaning to do a mini album filled with motivational quotes about writing. I started working on it, made some progress, and then ran into a few issues I couldn't figure out how to fix, so I pretty much abandoned it for nearly a year. It sat in a box, and recently I decided it was silly to have this box just sitting around and I needed to either...poo or get off the potty...you get the idea. So I decided I would finish it and it was actually fun and not as complicated as I feared it would be. I used a MR 4" binder mini album (these are so cute and tiny!) and I used a MR library card singleton stamp. I used the backside of a Tim Holtz Lost and Found pp, since they have such a perfect amount of distressing and an aged look. The outside and inside of the spine are covered in 7G gaffer tape. So here it is...

A romantic LO for Creative Charms :)
I blogged for Creative Charms today:
It's Valentine's Day soon, so I'm in a romantic mood :) I got to work with the Deal of the Month (love it when I get to do that...you always get so much in those little packages!) and even though it doesn't have to be used just for romantic LO's, it did make me think immediately of my Echo Park "Be Mine" pp - it's all black, and white, and gray, with some pink thrown in. Just perfect for this month's Deal, as well as this month's Kit of the Month (which also has a black and white theme and matched the Deal). Anyways, here's the LO I created, "Always In My Heart":

Supplies:
- Ribbon, Flowers, Beaded Butterfly, and Bling: Deal Of The Month
- Vintage Make-It-Yours Self-Adhesive Metal Frames
- Vintage Marble Brads - WHITE
I used the vintage do it yourself frame to frame an image I cut out from the pp. And the punched butterfly and the black heart in the upper right are both from thin black metal. I also embossed the heart and topped it off with the vintage marble brad.

Scrapping some not-so-good pics.
I blogged for 3Birds today:
Sure, it's nice when you have gorgeous pics to scrap...but what about when you have a memory you want to document, but alas, no good pics to go with it? I had that problem when it came to scrapping our New Year's - DS would NOT cooperate! We had many out-takes...and never did get that one great pic. DS's lack of cooperation combined with bad lighting...well, this was the result. So I decided to just scrap them all! And throw a humorous title in, just to pull it all together. Here is the resulting LO, "How Hard Can It Be?" How hard can it be to get one good pic? Sometimes impossible :)

February 1st!
Can you believe it?? Wasn't it just New Years? Well, with the 1st of the month come a couple cool things - 1st up, the February issue of Scrapstreet is now available,s o be sure to check out my article on lace (HERE).
ALso, the new February challenge for Harmonie is up on their blog (HERE) - you are to use 3 or more pics. Enter to win a Harmonie prize pack. Here is my example, Everyday Tender Moments (do you like how I hand-wrote Everyday? - starting to run out of e's! LOL) I made the lollipop flowers myself - it's their pp line "Blizzard"...I just love those colors. I actually mixed "Blizzard" with "Bella Bohemia" (for the purple and the kraft paper). Everything here is by Harmonie, including brads and chipboard shapes (except letter stickers, liquid pearls, and leaves - the leaves are from IamRoses.com) I used my Crafter's Workshop dots all around template to make the liquid pearls circle.
