On a Mission!!

Another layout using the Paper Lovelies March kit (Echo Park "A Boy's Life") combined with some awesome Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard frames. This one is all about my son, speaking of which - he's turning 3 tomorrow!! And we're going away again for a few days to Great Wolf Lodge (so this post is per-scheduled :)

Somewhere in Time

Today, I'm sharing a layout using some gorgeous WOW embossing powders! I scrapped a vintage photo - the little baby in the photo is my grandmother, her mom, and her grandma. It's hard to believe that these are my ancestors. I used Sizzix dies to cut out the clock, butterflies, and flower layers, and for all of them I used very light and thin corrugated cardboard - it's thick enough to take embossing beautifully. The grey embossing powder is Suzy West Collection Skyline Grey Puff and the teal blue is Suzy West Collection Cotton Candy Regular. For the flowers, I used both of the powders. To keep a somewhat shabby, vintage look, I didn't cover the die cuts completely with the powder, but loosely brushed it off some areas before setting with my heat tool.

Punky Sprouts March Challenge!

This month, we have a sketch provided by our DT member Erin! Make sure you guys check out the BLOG for the sketch. I made a card based on it - I used a Punky Sprouts doily behind the stamp and Punky Sprouts filter flowers for the banner - I simply folded them in half several times until I got the banner shape. The stamp is Anya from Greeting Farm, and the paper is Kaisercraft "Miss Nelly". I colored using Copics.

Imaginisce March Challenge!

Please check out the Imaginisce Blog to see the latest challenge! Here's the layout I created for it, using "Berrylicious" and my I-Top! I made those brads...they were my first time using the I-Top. It was sooooo easy, and I was so excited! I love how they turned out.

And here's a quick card using Imaginisce "Sole Sisters" and a Snag 'Em stamp from that line - I paper pieced the little flowers and used my I-Rock for the bling.

Make your own rubber charms!

Hey guys, check out my tutorial on the Imaginsice blog on how to make your own rubber charms!

Scrapmatts flowers and Greeting Farm

Wanted to share another card I made, using a Greeting Farm stamp, colored with Copics, and paired with lots of Scrapmatts laser-cut words and flowers. I inked the flowers and topped them with Glossy accents. The paper is Kaisercraft "Miss Nelly".

Scrapmatts and my lovely Paper Lovelies kit!

Those two make a great combo. I scrapped a picture of myself and my father using this boyish paper, but with the help of the pretty Scrapmatts words and fern leaves, I made it work for a more nostalgic and feminine layout.

Sunshiny Days

With winter in full swing, I have sunshine on my mind, so I thought I'd do a summery layout. I used the Gratitude stamp set - it makes wonderful heart borders and I love the definition, which I used here as well. I also used the Suzy West Collection "Cotton Candy" embossing powder on the wooden banner - it came out bright and pretty, but still vintage and distressed.

My girly girl

Imaginisce recently had a swap with Scrapbook Adhesives so I was lucky enough to get some really awesome adhesives to work with. For this LO, I again used the Sole Sisters collection and gave my I-Rock a really good workout :)

A Nouveau Altered Frame

This is the 3rd and final day of the new Nouveau Girl release from Some Odd Girl - make sure you check out the blog to see the new stamp set revealed today called "Fan", as well as "Dancer" from Monday, and "Wishes" from Tuesday. I decided to use both "Dancer" and "Fan" to alter this wooden frame. Again, I used Kaisercraft Papers and the quote inside is from their line "Velvet Ensemble". I just love this wuote and it went perfectly with these gorgeous new stamps. All coloring is using Copic markers.
