Nikki Sivils Projects

The ScrapStreet team got some Nikki Sivils - Flaming Butterfly line goodies to play with and these were published there last month, and now I can finally share them on my blog! I'll share two of the projects now, and another couple a little later.

This first one is called The Blue Vase, and it's of my grandparents right after their wedding - this vase is a beautiful blue crystal.


This one is called Peace Love and Disney, and it's from our Disney trip back in October '09.

Here is another one's with the Snobby Walrus July kit. The LO is done on the Fancy Pants flocked transparency that was in the kit. I think it gives it an interesting effect :)

3 Birds DT Project - Lucky Me :)

Hi everyone, I posted on 3Birds blog today with this LO about my DH. Despite the flowers, I think the distressing lends a somewhat rugged, masculine look to it :)

My new blog header!

I decided to go ahead and update my blog a little with a fun new blog header – I think it matches the title of my blog well :)

Banner of the Wekk at Inspire Me!

I'm so excited to have made the banner at InspireMe! So if you look at the very top of the page or on the right-hand side, you'll see it. I would like to share the altered canvas that is being featured on InspireMe right now. And I'm also a featured member this week there as well :) So exciting since I always talk about how much I love Webster's Pages!

For this project, I altered a MME 12x12 stretched canvas. I think it'll look great hanging in our purple room :)

Family at the beach!

I wanted to share a LO I made using the adorable Nikki Sivils pp and ZVA crystals I got at Scraptacular. I also wanted to point out the heart. I altered it by covering it with Ranger crackle glaze and then coloring it with Ranger alcohol inks - the ink gather more in the cracks, making them stand out more. I've also done this using lighter and brighter inks, such as yellow, ant it adds a nice touch of color to the clear glaze, while still accenting the cracks. This is a pic of us on our vacation from a couple months ago.

I am so excited to announce that I have been selected as one of the lucky few to be a GDT for Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker! I can't wait to get to work with some of her adorable lines and to share my work with everyone!
